Overview

This Portugal Tourist Visa is connoted for employed, self-employed & retired holiday-makers who are looking forward to visit Portugal as the main destination for fun, leisure & vacationing. This tourist Visa authorizes the third-country nationals to visit Portugal & travel across the Schengen Zone. Tourist Visa is valid for maximum time duration of 90 days within a 6-months period.

Documents required

  1. Valid Passport

    Online Portugal Visa Applicants are required to present original passport issued in last 10 years. A colored copy of the passport page containing bio details & photo of the applicant should be presented. The passport should be valid for a minimum of 3 months from the date of departure from Portugal. It should contain at least 2 blank “Visa” pages.   2. Recent Colored Photographs

    The prospective applicants of Portugal Visa UK are required to attach 2 passport-size photographs to the Portugal visa application form. Please note that photographs should be clean, sharply focused, feature applicant’s complete face & taken on a white plain background. It should be recent & not older than 3 months from application date.

  3. Portugal Visa Application Form

The declaration column mentioned in the form should be filled by the parents or guardians along with signatures in the required fields.   4. UK Residence Permit

    Residents of UK that hold UK Residence Permit are required to acquire a Portugal Schengen Visa prior traveling to Portugal. The UK residence Permit (either stamped in the applicant’s passport or in the form of a bio-metric card) should be presented at the Embassy. Please note that Residence Permit should be valid for a minimum of 3 months (90 days) from the scheduled date of return from Portugal.

  5. Travel Itinerary

    The travel itinerary of the Portugal Visa applicant should cover the entire duration of stay in Portugal & Schengen countries. The documents concerning mode of accommodation & dates of travel should be clearly defined & presented at the Embassy.

    • Documents concerning the Employment Status:
      • For Employed
        • The recent three months salary slips
        • An official employment letter from the employer that defines applicant’s designation, salary rates & date of joining in the organization. (This letter should not be older than 3 months)
      • For Self-Employed
        • A letter that specifies applicant’s profession, starting date of the business or the source of income (this letter should not be older than 3 months)
        • Proof of income from applicant’s accountant, bank manager, solicitor or local Chamber of Commerce.
        • VAT Certificates
      • For Retired

        Pension Receipt of last 6 months from the date of Portugal Visa Application

  6. Round-Trip Travel Reservation Documents

    Travelers looking forward to apply for Portugal Visa are required to present confirmed return travel tickets & documents at the Embassy on Portugal visa appointment date. The travel documents should specify dates of travel to & from Portugal & applicant’s complete name.

  7. Travel Insurance

    The prospective applicants of Portugal Schengen Visa are required to present original document & submit copy of the travel insurance certificate at the Portugal Embassy. The travel insurance should be-

    • Valid for all the Schengen member states
    • Valid for DROM/CTOM as per your itinerary

    The certificate should have a minimum coverage of at least 30,000 EUR (which includes medical fees & repatriation costs). It should cover the entire duration of stay in the Schengen Zone.

  8. Proof of Accommodation

    The Applicant of Portugal Visa from UK should present confirmed hotel bookings or rental agreement for every single night during the stay in Schengen Zone. These documents should clearly specify applicant’s name, hotel’s address, contact details & the intended dates of stay.

    In case, the applicant’s stay has been materialized by the resident of Portugal (friend or relative), then an original “Attestation Accursed” should be presented at the Embassy. This letter should cover applicant’s entire period of stay in Schengen Zone. It is to be issued by any Police station in Portugal or the Town Hall.

    Please note that the letters written by the host will not be accepted by the Embassy at any cost.

  9. Proof of Sustenance

    Portugal Holiday Visa Applicant is required to present proof of adequate means of provisions to support his entire stay in France. These proofs can be official UK Bank Statement for the recent 3 months or a traveler’s cheque (in Euros).
